Type Theme Park Services Concept Design, Production, Narrative Treatment Client Parc Astérix Date 2026 Location Paris, France

On 4 April 2026, Parc Astérix opened its season with the long-awaited completion of the Egyptian land.

Work on the extension of the Egyptian quarter began in 2024 and proceeded in stages, with one attraction added at a time. The only feature the three older facilities had in common was that they belonged to no world at all.

Parc Astérix entrusted The Immersers with the theming of these attractions and the restaurant in order to complete the land.

Theming an existing structure is not the same as creating a new attraction. The challenge lies in changing the way visitors perceive facilities that already have their own logic and world. It’s not just a case of adding décor, but making visitors forget what was there before.

The Oxygénarium has become La Descente du Nil, a white-water ride under the gaze of the Egyptian gods. The Chaises Volantes have become L’Envol d’Ibis, carrying visitors over a water garden like the sacred bird. The Cirque restaurant has become Les Comptoirs d’Épidemaïs.

Beyond the scenography, The Immersers acted as the project’s general contractor, responsible for the concept, art direction, selection of partners, and management of the works through to opening.

This project marks the end of three years of gradual transformation of the Egyptian Quarter. We are proud to have completed it to the expected standard and on schedule.
