Port des Lumières is Hamburg’s new immersive art center in HafenCity, blending light, sound, and motion to plunge visitors into vast animated worlds. A multisensory tunnel—linking a historic harbor hall to a ship-bow observation deck—channels the city’s maritime spirit with salty air, a typical Hamburg breeze, wooden planks, riveted steel, indirect lighting, and portholes overlooking the Elbe and Speicherstadt.
